The Student
Pravar’s first instinct with a remote-controlled car was to take it apart and study its circuit board. That curiosity followed him into Mathematics, Further Mathematics, Physics, coding and electronics at Calcutta International School.
It also led him beyond the classroom. He built a robotic spider using 3-D printed parts, Arduino programming and Bluetooth control. He developed an Intelligent Farm Watchman for crop protection and pursued coursework in calculus, electricity and magnetism, computational thinking and deep learning.
The Challenge
By application stage, Pravar had research, projects, internships, leadership and community work. The profile had substance, but not yet one clear line.
An early review note stated: “All the points are disconnected. We need to emphasis on one goal and the learning for that.”
The work with Collegify began there. The task was to understand what connected the projects without making them appear more complete or more closely related than they were.
The Work
The thread emerged through Pravar’s interest in electronics, computing and energy use.
His published research on Electron Paramagnetic Resonance had already introduced him to detailed scientific work. He later explored photonic integrated circuits and proposed a model for a photonic logic gate, examining how light-based components could improve computing speed and energy efficiency.
His practical work gave this interest context. At F.A.S.T Computing Solutions, he worked on a Python-based face-detection algorithm. At GPT Infraprojects, he gained exposure to the Majerhat Metro Rail Project. At Iskraemeco India, he learned about smart metering and the systems used to track electricity use.
Collegify’s feedback kept returning to the proof behind each entry: what he had built, what he had learned, where the idea came from and which work remained exploratory. That distinction made the final narrative more precise.
