A useful university list grows out of three connected decisions: what engages the student, how they want to learn and what the family can realistically support.
Notice the subjects, questions and activities the student returns to without being prompted. Those patterns provide stronger starting evidence than a fashionable major.
Compare course structure, teaching style, assessment and campus setting. The same subject can produce a very different undergraduate experience.
Bring cost, location and the full application plan into the conversation early, so every option remains academically and financially credible.
