The Student
Shresth’s interest in economics developed through life across Ghana, Zambia and India, alongside exposure to banking, telecommunications, manufacturing and small businesses. He hoped to study economics and build a career in investment banking.
The Challenge
His profile included internships, enterprise exposure, research, sustainability work and community engagement. The challenge was to bring these different experiences together through a direction that felt true to his interests.
The Work
Collegify identified small and medium enterprises as a central profile theme and recorded a zero-waste project direction. This gave Shresth a way to connect his interest in economics with his work at Sonu Handicrafts and Maharani Stones.
He strengthened that direction through study in small-business management, markets and consumer behaviour. His research on social-media marketing and SMEs in India was published in September 2024.
He also began Threads of Hope, using scrap fabric to develop products while teaching stitching to women from marginalized communities. The project brought together enterprise, sustainability and livelihoods in a practical way.
Collegify’s role extended the detail of the work: asking Shresth to connect course learning with projects, clarify skills and responsibilities, and bring separate experiences into one coherent account of leadership and academic interest.
The Outcome
By application stage, Shresth could explain his interest in economics through practical exposure to businesses, banking, research and an initiative of his own. His confirmed university outcome can be added once the programme, offer details and acceptance status are shared.
